This means that in addition to our own waters, Barnet members can take advantage of the many fisheries controlled by those associations.We also have an arrangement with Tring Anglers whereby members of each club can fish the other's waters on their own club ticket. This gives B.A.D.A.C. members access to several more miles of canal fishing, as well as excellent river fishing and numerous lakes. There is no associate membership at Shepherds Way. ˜ Registered disabled anglers pay £34.00 plus £29.00 entrance fee for the first year, and for subsequent annual renewals. To claim disabled membership you must be in possession of an ENVIRONMENT AGENCY CONCESSION ROD LICENSE.
SHEPHERDS WAY LAKESRULE CHANGEWe have been advised that the KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) disease remains a serious threat to the sustainability of stillwater carp fisheries. In order to prevent the introductin of this disease into this valued fishery, no personal keepnets are to be used at any time - neither for Carp nor Silver Fish. This is to avoid the transference of any disease which may have been inadvertently picked up from another source.Please note that this adendum replaces Rule No 2 in the Special Rules for Shepherds Way Lakes in our Club Booklet.
Koi Herpesvirus diseaseKoi Herpesvirus (KHV) is a very damaging and easily spread virus that affects common carp and carp varieties . Outbreaks of the disease occur in summer, when water temperatures are high, and can kill between 20% and 100% of carp in a fishery.The disease is most likely to be spread by fishing tackle that has been used on an infected lake then used on our lakes. To protect Shepherds Way Lakes kindly ensure that your needs are properly Air Dried or dipped in the dips provided. General cleanliness of your tackle is always a good idea anyway.So please help us to maintin the high quality of the fish in the Shepherds Way Lakes by disinfecting your nets and any other objects that may have picked up the disease from another lake.Thank you.
Road Closed at Twin Bridges.The road that comes off the A1 (Tempsford Road) is closed. There is work being done to the bridge over the river Ivel. To get to hambarn you will have to follow the diversion signs to Blunham village.
