Fisheries reports

Updated 03.08.10

Shepherds Way

Had my 1st 100lb bag of bream from the big pit yesterday. I fished a peg on the south Bank with a groundbait feeder with mini-boilies on the hook and took 29 bream to 5lbs. Started very slowly and was thinking of moving when at 12-15 had my 3rd fish and then a bite a chuck for 3 hours. Only 1 other angler on the large pit on a Sunday ??

I have just had a day at shepherds way with my son and have to say what a lovely place it is. I spent the morning on the small lake catching skimmers and roach, my son also had some clonking roach out of the large lake later on in the day. I also hooked and lost 4 carp, one which fell off at the net which was a lovely looking mirror of 6 or 7lbs or so. Sweetcorn over pellet seemed to sort out the better fish while maggot would bring one a chuck. One other thing I'd like to mention is how impressed we were with the state of the toilet clean and tidy with clean towels, a real nice suprise. Hats off to all who make this a cracking venue, I cant wait to return.

I need more reports on our fisheries good or bad, you can e-mail me by the address at the bottom of this paragraph or phone by ringing the Chairman, or telling me at a monthly meeting. If you have photos that would be even better they would be returned to you by return of post. barnet.angling@btinternet.com
