No change for this month. It shouldn't take a
lot of working out that reports on our fisheries will be affected
by the current weather conditions. One minute they are in flood,
the next day they are frozen, then there is a thaw and some people
have a good day. Until such time as we are able to gather a more
accurate coverage, may we suggest that members who are interested
in a particular venue, give the venue's Fishery Officer or Bailiff
a ring - their numbers are in the Club fixture booklet. Needless
to say the 'canal connections' we have are likely to be your best
choice of venue.
River Ivel (Twin Bridges)
London Colney
Small jack pike reported ( coming close in
to the bank where the day previously our matchmen had had to break
the ice!) . Small roach, perch and the odd skimmer if the conditions
are right
Lowbell Lane
If conditions allow, you should catch chub,
small roach and the odd skimmer along with occasional jack pike
Shepherds Way
Blunham and The Spinney
Sonning
The Compasses
No definite reports but one always has the
feeling that this venue will produce - even if you have to break
the ice!
Shabbington
The Windrush
Luton and Tring Waters
The canals must be the place to be if you
need your fishing fix - but wrap up warm!
I need more reports on our fisheries good or
bad, you can e-mail me by the address at the bottom of this paragraph
or phone by ringing the Chairman, or telling me at a monthly meeting.
If you have photos that would be even better they would be returned
to you by return of post. barnet.angling@btinternet.com
