The Compasses

Great North Road, Baldock, Herts.

There are two spring fed lakes in a very picturesque setting. Both lakes contain Carp, Bream, Roach, and Trout in what can some times be heavily weeded areas. Most of these fish have never seen a hook and bait.

Fly fishing in season.

Floating baits are allowed (please be aware of wildfowl)

This lake is open all the year round (i.e. there is no close season)

Barbless hooks only

All litter to be taken home; Failure to do so may lead to expulsion from the club. This fishery is in the grounds of the owner's property; please respect the lakes and surrounding areas at all times.

Members should respect the privacy of the Bungalow, by not fishing within 10 meters.
