River Thame

Shabbington, Bucks

More to come!

Directions

Take the A418 from Aylesbury and take the Shabbington turn off about one and a half miles beyond Thame. The entrance to the fishery is on the left on the bridge. Parking is available in the field about 20 yards from the entrance to the fishery on the left. You will be fishing on an island with the backwater to your right and the main river to your left, the boundary is where the backwater meets the main river and the backwater is back up to the fence.

The backwater holds some big Tench and Bream. Chub and Barbel have been caught, and Roach, Perch and Dace are also present in the river. A mobile approach works well here, and pole, leger and trotting all work well on their day.
